RMB Latitudes 2025: Where Africa’s Art World Comes Together

From 23–25 May, the RMB Latitudes Art Fair returned to Shepstone Gardens for its third edition, spotlighting over 300 artists and 50 galleries under the theme “CO-PRODUCTION.” This year’s fair celebrates collaboration within the African art world, featuring major galleries and independent creators alike. Highlights include INDEX, a powerful showcase curated by Bonolo Kavula, which sought to shine a spotlight on independent artists, and Disturbed Currents, an outdoor exhibition confronting climate change through art. Attendees also explored ESSAY, an exhibition featuring stoneware sculptures and charcoal drawings, and a bold new Design Showcase featuring 25 African brands exhibiting both art and design. Meanwhile, the immersive Pulse Lounge, designed as a tranquil pavilion within the fair, added to the experience, blending architecture, comfort, and conversation. In short, the RMB Latitudes Art Fair was an event where creativity met community and art came alive.
