Nigeria Launches First-Ever Global Film Market at AFRIFF 2025

The Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) has announced the launch of the AFRIFF Film and Content Market (AFCM), a global marketplace for film, TV, and digital content set to debut at the 2025 edition of the festival in Lagos. Unveiled in Cannes, AFCM aims to unite creators, investors, and distributors worldwide. Former European Film Market director Dennis Ruh will lead as consultant. The inaugural edition of the initiative, which AFRIFF is undertaking in partnership with Nigeria’s Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, will feature pitch sessions, international showcases, and vibrant networking spaces. With support from UK-based financier Goldfinch International, AFCM is poised to elevate Africa’s creative economy and spotlight its rich storytelling potential.
