Omi Collective Debuts Innovative African Design at Stockholm Furniture Fair

Lagos-based design studio Omi Collective gained international attention at the 2025 Stockholm Furniture Fair with the introduction of the Omi Series 2 Stool. This six-legged timber piece combines modern functionality with African design principles, offering adaptability by transforming from a single stool into three separate seats. The design, created by Olorunfemi Adewuyi, draws inspiration from West African granary ladders and the indigo textile tradition, celebrating both communal values and cultural heritage. The Omi Series 2 Stool represents a unique fusion of African culture and contemporary design, making a standout impression at the global event.
