White South Africans Rally in Support of Trump’s Anti-expropriation Stance

Dozens of White South Africans, many from the Afrikaner community, gathered outside the US Embassy in Pretoria to show solidarity with President Donald Trump. The protesters claim they are victims of racism. They also criticized the South Africa’s new land expropriation law and existing affirmative action policies, which they argue discriminate against the white minority. Trump recently issued an executive order cutting aid to Pretoria, alleging that Afrikaners are the targets of a new law that allows the government to expropriate private land without compensation. However, the South African government has denied any race-based motive for the law, emphasizing that no land has been taken. Pretoria has also stated that the law seeks only to rectify centuries of dispossession affecting the Black majority.
