Bloomwit Partners with TEDxAjegunle to Offer Scholarships for Africa’s Emerging Communicators

The scholarships will provide more global opportunities for African professionals, equipping them with strategic writing and communications skills to build their careers and navigate challenges in business and media

Lagos, Nigeria, 13 October 2025Bloomwit, Africa’s best business communications academy, has partnered with TEDxAjegunle to award scholarships to African youths, supporting the development of the continent’s next generation of communicators. The initiative aims to equip emerging professionals with strategic writing and communication skills to build their careers and navigate challenges in business and media

This year’s TEDxAjegunle event themed “Beyond Boundaries: Where Limits Become Launchpads” seeks to celebrate bold ideas, challenge conventional thinking, and spotlight individuals and initiatives driving change in communities across Africa. The event brings together thinkers, creators, and innovators to share ideas worth spreading and encourages participants to explore new ways of thinking about local and global challenges.

Research shows that African businesses lose over $200 billion annually due to poor communications skills. Many organizations struggle with unclear messaging, inconsistent content, and ineffective storytelling, limiting growth and efficiency. Bloomwit’s scholarship program aims to address these gaps, offering practical courses in writing, storytelling, branding, and digital communication, giving recipients the tools to convey ideas clearly, strategically, and in ways that produce optimal results.

Speaking on the collaboration, Oti Egwu, Bloomwit’s Chief Advisor, said, “Africa’s communication gap continues to limit how far ideas and opportunities can travel. Our partnership with TEDxAjegunle is focused on changing that reality. Through this scholarship, we are giving young Africans access to the kind of learning that helps them articulate their ideas clearly and position themselves for greater opportunities.”

The scholarship also responds to persistent challenges in the field of communication, including limited access to structured learning, a shortage of trained professionals, and inadequate support for emerging voices. By providing these scholarships, Bloomwit aims to strengthen communication skills among African professionals to contribute meaningfully in their workplaces, communities, and industries.

Speaking on the partnership with Bloomwit, Adetutu Danielle, Lead Organizer of TEDxAjegunle, said: “The core mission of TEDxAjegunle is to foster ‘Ideas Worth Spreading,’ and there is no greater skill today than the ability to communicate those ideas strategically. This partnership will give African youths, especially recipients  from the Ajegunle community a strategic advantage, providing them with the necessary skills to turn their local inspiration into a global narrative.”

Through this partnership and scholarship initiative, Bloomwit reinforces its commitment to addressing communication gaps in Africa, providing professionals and entrepreneurs with the tools to express their ideas more clearly, engage audiences effectively, and create opportunities for themselves and their organizations.
